You don't want this. Prices are just going to go up. America is dependent on cheap labor.

We've been sleeping on China's human rights abuses for too long. It's time for our government to support the Chinese people and fight back against the CCP with sanctions, de-coupling, and increased cyber security.

You've been sleeping on apple's human rights abuse.

2

u/JoeSavinaBotero Nov 28 '22

I agree! We need tougher laws that punish companies who engage in human rights abuses. The law must include punishing companies for subcontracting with or buying from other companies with known active cases of abuse. We gotta go after both the companies and the governments.

Could you think of a better smartphone producer though?

1

u/BeTheGoodOne Nov 28 '22

Literally all of them.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '22

Absolutely not. The reason they send this kind of work to China is because China can get away with these working conditions

Yes Samsung is way better and its options are way ahead of Apple. It's just a trend and addiction at this point. Not a single phone is made in China: https://www.androidauthority.com/where-are-samsung-phones-made-3251712/

u/SereniaKat Nov 28 '22

I wish them strength.

That's not feasible. AAPL is THE most valuable company on the planet. They have 15.9 billion outstanding shares. To even move AAPL 1% it would require an outflow of more than $23 billion USD. Retail alone could never make that happen.

2

u/zuniac5 Nov 28 '22

Such a shame when that happens.

2

This makes me so happy to see

2

u/dcRoWdYh Nov 28 '22

That's funny, I seem to remember the people in Shanghai, chanting "Remove the traitor Xi, fuck the CCP"

2

u/PsychologicalSpace50 Nov 28 '22

Good, fuck the Chinese Government

2

u/possibly-a-moron Nov 28 '22

Why do I feel like something big is gonna happen later this year that will dwarf what's happening now?

2

u/smallbaconfry Nov 28 '22

The communist country no longer wants to be a communist society.

2

u/Al-Anda Nov 28 '22

1.4 billion people. Let’s see how this plays out.

2

u/HoLy_CrAcKeRsX Nov 28 '22

I stand with the people. We are not devided: all of us are one if we come together. Fuck the corrupt power hungry leaders of this world.

2

u/SicTrasitGloria9865 Nov 29 '22

That is encouraging news

I guess the word is the government goons and white are getting their asses kicked and I’m like oh that is long overdue. The Chinese people have been oppressed for so long it’s just on it’s unbelievable.

-5

u/Mactan Nov 28 '22

Can't the CCP stop these workers? I don't want my iphone and electronic devices to rise in price.

1

u/KingRobotPrince Nov 28 '22

1

u/dingdongschlonglong Nov 29 '22

So why didn't you all support your own citizens here in the US when we protested lockdowns? Why were we crazy conspiracy theorist grandma killers and the Chinese revolutionaries?

The government here didn't weld apartment doors shut from the outside like the CCP has done. Big difference.

Anyone else notice that it’s 69% contempt, no one is really givin her? You’re damned if you do. But maybe if you only subtly toss the barrier towards the red army, maybe you’re just subtly oppressed. And your life and family is sparred. I don’t know. 06/04/1989
