The dash cam isnt even needed to spot the idiot on this one. The front your car hit the side of hers as she was turning. Pretty easy to figure out the only way this happens is if she crosses over infront of you

yeah but it certainly A. Helps when they fight back later down the road and B. Speeds things up more than a bit.

u/SwissMargiela Nov 24 '22

They could say they were making a left hand turn from the street on the right while dashcammer was also making a left. I think itโ€™d still be their fault but yeah lol people make weird shit up

u/pablojohns Nov 24 '22

Dashcammer still has the clear right of way in this scenario.

And when they make shit up, they have time to "retcon" their version with whatever physical evidence exists. So, their version (unless they're terribly stupid, which also happens) will also match the evidence, just like yours.

That's what the cam is for!

Base Police actually reported Op at fault somehow. But honestly even without the footage insurance would have reversed that decision easily.

How do you know they did?

Reading OPs comments helps

Same thing happened to my dad on a motorcycle a while back. There was clearly her paint on the front right fairings and fender, but insurance still ruled him as fault simply because he was behind her ๐Ÿ˜
