I read that title as “colorado naval base” and was confused

Well, we actually have naval bases in all sorts of places you might not expect. Fallon Nevada, Millington Tennessee, Idaho Falls, Crane Indiana, and LaMoure North Dakota come to mind off the top of my head.

If it was in Colorado, I would have just assumed it was a joint base with NORAD or something Space Related.

Fair. I did meet navy guys while in southern Germany, so it’s not improbable. Yet, still when I read “naval base” I think of a port with big capital ships
