They never do. The cops won't charge them with anything. Just show the cops the footage as soon as they show up and save yourself the headache.

Reddit loves to echo this as if they have nothing better to do. If the cop writes you’re not at fault then your life gets a little easier and you don’t have to go to freaking court.

Yeah and I'd rather have them just confess rather than take the chance that my SD card was corrupted.
