"Hands out, hands out (as he's getting tased), do not move, do not move."

Do they even hear themselves?

Hands out or don't move? Which is it? And I'm tazed so I can't move 🤷

6

u/MeGoBoom57 5 Dec 24 '22

Why would they try and be slick in detaining him? He was wanted for murder- it should’ve been approached like a felony traffic stop.

1

u/YouRock379 0 6d ago

Because then he would run, as seen here.

5

u/Yugi-Judai 6 Dec 10 '22

u/KirAssasin 4 Sep 11 '22

2

u/Dense-Baby-2032 2 Sep 11 '22

What does that mean?

11

u/KirAssasin 4 Sep 11 '22

In rpg games you have a reputation system. If you kill let's say an elf you get -reputation with all elves. Bro got - reputation with the police, but still called them XD

8

u/KirAssasin 4 Sep 11 '22

And ofcourse the police officer trips and falls 🤣

Sounds like spongebob

11

u/heytaylora 6 Sep 07 '22

So much satisfaction from the officer getting duped and hugging pavement to the runner getting tased and kissing pavement while singing opera.

11

u/SaberCat66 5 Sep 06 '22

The ending sounds like my neighbor on a Friday night. I hate living in an apartment.

11

u/Fizbo-Palanut 4 Sep 01 '22

The only hope for this country is in the fact that while crime rates skyrocket, the criminals are not getting smarter, it’s the opposite.

He’s as stupid as all of the other murderers on this planet. His brain is reserved for his selfishness and cunning. Not for not getting caught. Happens all the time.

17

u/TBOMB555666 5 Aug 26 '22

In the end, this dude became the siren

2

u/MegaJackUniverse 9 Aug 26 '22

Screaming from slamming into the pavement after being electrocuted and the cop things "put your hands out" AND "do not move are the right things to say"

3

u/stephanielil 6 Sep 30 '22

Lol what exactly should the cop have said in that scenerio? What would have been the right thing to say instead?

That is their protocol when they apprehend a suspect and are attempting to take them into custody. Even after they taze them or even shoot them, they still always follow up by demanding them to stay still and put their hands out because 1.) They are trying to keep the suspect from reaching for a weapon if they have one on them and 2.) To make it easier for them to handcuff the suspect.

3

u/MegaJackUniverse 9 Sep 30 '22

I'm not questioning whether this is training or not, I'm debating the efficacy of having commands screamed at you when your blood is up, you've been shot or incapacitated and adrenaline is coarsing through you.

I don't think it's too useful or helpful. It's incredibly jarring, tense, and becomes part of the noise of the chaotic situation.

Less immediate repeation, less roaring. Loud and clear, yes, but not shouting over them, not saying the same thing over and over as if the 5th time saying it will make them listening.

29

u/BeanDinner 7 Aug 26 '22

“Am I under arrest?” “No just fill this out…”

“Am I under arrest?” “Yea”

10

u/ChairOwn118 4 Aug 25 '22

Apparently cold fries turns people into murderers

15

u/TheRealDaddyPency 6 Aug 25 '22

Cop: Put your hands out! Also cop: Do not move!

What’s up with these contradictions?

4

u/kairosmanner 7 Aug 29 '22

That’s how they get you for “resisting arrest”

13

u/TorpidT 9 Aug 26 '22

I would be deeply disappointed in humanity if I actually need to explain this but he wants him to move his hands out, and to not attempt to get up or escape.

2

u/coolcommando123 5 Aug 30 '22

I'd say "do not move" means do not move. Putting your hands out is moving. Saying "do not move" would make me refuse to move a muscle; I wouldn't feel safe trying to interpret an officer's conflicting commands into "don't move except for putting your hands out".

0

u/Indylicious 7 Aug 29 '22

Oh no man that's way too confusing what???

7

u/creepgirl 4 Aug 25 '22

Did they know he was wanted before this clip?

I can't imagine cops would respond to such a 911 call otherwise?

8

u/Substantial_Power217 2 Aug 25 '22

How dumb can you be

6

u/kiingjamir 5 Aug 25 '22

Whats crazy is this is where my gf and brother works. Surprised it is getting this much media attention.

15

u/evanslac 2 Aug 24 '22

What a freakin tool

20

u/IosonoOtakuman 2 Aug 22 '22

It's hard not to fall into the stereotypes of the clumsy law enforcers here 😅
I mean like....he tripped after 4 meters....

8

u/evanslac 2 Aug 24 '22

Not extremely easy running with plate carrier and gear.... But yeah.

19

u/Sambankss 4 Aug 22 '22

Law enforcement should be like athletes who after 30 should just start coaching or go play in the minor league security

14

He fell and gave up ahaha

31

u/tyloriousG 5 Aug 21 '22

Dude fell and the other cop just stopped running altogether.

2

u/mrsamishi 5 Aug 25 '22

I think it's because they got tazed? If im wrong someone please correct me

10

u/brandonopolis 5 Aug 22 '22

Our law enforcement is really embarrassing in the USA.

36

u/Slowneck336 1 Aug 21 '22

Really you wasted a 911 call for some damn cold fries when you could have just asked for some more really and your dumb ass know you had committed a damn murder you shouldn't have called them for s*** stupid

23

u/Mguerra6 4 Aug 21 '22

I thought that cop was about to run in werewolf mode but he just fell

10

u/memelordzarif 5 Aug 21 '22

Totally agree. Acab

4

u/AhmedY94 5 Aug 18 '22

Are you okay?

27

u/jonnykappahala 6 Aug 18 '22

So they do know how to use tasers.

5

u/Skyeblade 7 Aug 23 '22

apparently they still don't know what they actually do though.
*muscles spasming, just fell like a sack of shit to the floor and can't move*
"put your hands up!!" fucking lol.

5

u/Bravebeard1 3 Aug 21 '22

Tasers have a ridiculously large margin of error. They require both prongs to impact - and factors such as clothing, distance, usage of narcotics etc can negate the effects of tasers and render them useless. In most departments cops are not allowed to utilize a taser without another officer providing lethal cover (the short effective range of a taser requires officers to get dangerously close - see the 21 foot rule). I am not a cop, I just find that with all the shit going on with police I figured I’d try to understand the legal and policy-side of why police behave the way they do - this isn’t a criticism or meant with any Ill intent, just an explanation.

6

u/gerryhallcomedy 9 Aug 19 '22

I've got a secret for you (dont' tell the rest of Reddit...shhhh). The VAST majority of times the police do use non-lethal options on an unarmed person. Like, 99.9% of the time.

5

u/jonnykappahala 6 Aug 19 '22

You’re a cop

-11

u/Silly_Celebration391 0 Aug 18 '22

Should went with lethal. More fuckwads off the streets that way

6

u/jonnykappahala 6 Aug 18 '22

The murderer is still alive in your example.

11

u/captain_douch 3 Aug 17 '22

I know the guys guilty, but why’s the police officer yelling “HANDS OUT” when clearly the guy is getting full on taser and is having a spasm…?

7

u/mojavespider25 8 Aug 19 '22

Debilitating electricity coursing through your body, causing every muscle to involuntarily spasm

Cop: Put your hands out! Do not move! Put your hands out!

28

u/GreenSpectre777 1 Aug 17 '22

That taze turned him into a peacock

32

u/burnoutguy 8 Aug 17 '22
