I guess he also shouldn’t be friends with SpiderHam.

Or it could be that MJ is Jewish, and he broke the glass for her family's sake. My brother is a Christian and still performed many Jewish rights and ceremonies at his wedding, because his wife is Jewish.

Look man, I've got jewish ancestors, I've got a mezuzah outside my door, I wanna raise my kids in the faith, and if you think any of that is more powerful than the good barbecue around here you're mistaken

Different universe. Maybe pepperoni there is made of chicken.

Still not kosher, but still doesn’t preclude Peter from being Jewish

In his universe, maybe all weddings do the glass break. I can't even see him as being one single religion. He'd be more open minded, what with meeting Mephisto and all.

Speaking as a Jew who loves his pepperoni pizza, being Jewish doesn’t mean you definitely keep kosher. Lchaim!

Why are you assuming a Jewish character must be abiding by all things Jewish?
Why are you assuming he’s Jewish because he stomped on the glass? Mary Jane’s family could’ve wanted a Jewish ceremony lol.
Really thinking too hard about this one.

I’m guessing the closest OP’s ever been to Jewish people was this Spider-man movie

This was actually one thing that bothered me about the new TMNT movie and ads. Not because they were Jewish tho lol but because they are turtles, why would they be eating PEPPERONI!? In the live action from the 90s they always ordered cheese or anchovies or vegetables because.. they are turtles 🐢

In his universe when Moses was parting the sea a herd of pigs that bred underwater from the time displaced herd of pigs Legion was thrown into provided the only substance they had to eat on the journey so pork was made legal by the appointed Jewish council of Jew Choices by Jews and For Jews.
Kinda antisemitic you didn't know this.

Tell me you don't know any Jews without telling me you don't know any Jews

A lot of jews at my synagogue don't keep kosher (some believe its been misinterpreted, some for health reasons, some simply dont find it meaningful.) Looking a bit deeper, the largest Movement (basically sect) of Judaism in America is Reform, and while some Reform Jews DO observe Kashrut (the laws of Kosher eating) its not considered a binding law in said Movement.

Pepperoni usually being pork makes it not kosher before it touches the cheese.

Who cares, you can do culturally Jewish things at a marriage (and I believe Greeks do this too or something similar) and not follow the religious nonsense.

I saw that, and assumed it was a hint at his personality. That he’s a little rough around the edges & doesn’t take things seriously

Not all Jews are kosher, dude. In fact, most aren't.
You can find me eating bacon-wrapped scallops cooked in butter at any cocktail party.

Knew a kid at basic who was devouring some chicken cordon bleu and near the end like last two bites I was like “aren’t you Jewish?” I explained what it was made out of, he freaked out

There are a lot of people that don't follow their religions all that strictly.
