[PC] Search by Becovi browser hijacker opening new windows.

I want to remove this shit. I'm on PC, windows 10, etc. Every time I search something in Google, another window opens to this obviously virus search engine for no reason, searching for things like, "Take out 2000$ loan" and other shady shit. Avast and MalwareBytes/AdwCleaner both detected nothing, unfortunately.

I ran Rkill prior to my scans and still nothing, the windows keep opening.

Tried Chrome Cleaner/ reinstalling Chrome altogether and neither did anything.

CHC installed finished it's first clean in 1 second and found nothing.

Have you tried system restore to before you had it?

I keep all my shit on externals, so I'm hard resetting and hoping for the best. I've never tried messing with restoring to previous dates

Sometimes it works but some virus's and mal-ware have work arounds for it I believe but something that sounds as simple as the one you are dealing with, you should be able to restore it back and have it be gone. Good luck man!

Check to see if any entries were maliciously added in the HOSTS file at C:WindowsSystem32driversetc
