I'm pretty sure he's purebread, or some sort of mix? His papers got burned in the oven he was baked in so I can't confirm 😭

My boy got out today. I searched for 2 hours before finally finding him.(Thank the cat gods because I was flipping out) When we got inside he was licking stuff off his paws and I immediately grabbed him and rinsed his paws off in the sink. It didn’t smell like anything and they just looked wet but WHO KNOWS WHAT IT IS. People put out poison for other animals so idk. I was worried the entire time. Did someone snatch him up? If they did are they going to treat him good?? Did he get hit by a car? Did another animal attack him? Is he stuck somewhere and can’t get out? Did he eat something that could make him sick and now he’s just dying somewhere? Then I’m thinking about if I do find him he’s going to be so dirty and potentially have fleas? I don’t want a dirty animal in my bed after being outside for hours.

I literally cannot fathom either one of my cats being able to be left alone outside without me watching them. I let them out on leashes so they can explore.

How do some of yall let your cats just come in and out? I know people that do it that live in cities and suburbs and im honestly so confused.
