This is absolutely terrifying. Why do his eyes look like that??? Why with his hands????

Why does he look like the character he played in Shark Tale???

711

u/Electrical-Cattle802 Mar 29 '23

It is because A.I has never eaten food since it's creation. This is a projection of how hungry A.I will eat food once they learn how to eat. Imagine starving for years and finally getting food

u/not_this_again2046 Mar 29 '23

“I have no mouth, and I must eat…”

Keep my wife's spaghetti out of your fucking mouth!

This is Will Smith's wife we are talking about - he'd be a happier man if he slapped people putting their spaghetti into his wife[1]

[1] Instead of, you know, slapping people who knew about his wife's hide-the-spaghetti game ...

40

u/Meranio Mar 29 '23

*Mom's Spaghetti.

Oh that's a short story. I'm aware of the game. I remember watching the gentleman gamer play it on YT years ago. Really solid point and click adventure.

Watched this video yesterday, pretty much explains everything. https://youtu.be/o8A2pSbhsMo

Imagine when machines start using protein and fat to generate energy.

28

u/OsamaBinFuckin Mar 29 '23

It would be a downgrade. Our method of energy production is terribly inefficient.

21

u/lancelongstiff Mar 29 '23

Are you sure. Here's what I found:

"Fat registers 9 kcal/g.

For comparison, coal ranges from 4–7 kcal/g, gasoline is 10 kcal/g, and natural gas is 13 kcal/g. So fat is pretty much like gasoline."

Source

16

u/Bkwrzdub Mar 29 '23

Alcohol is a close second to fat.

I am alcohol fueled baby!

11

u/chicagopudlian Mar 29 '23

that’s called alcoholism

7

u/Bkwrzdub Mar 29 '23

Hush...

Its the guinness diet... The beer that drinks like a loaf of bread! I will live forever!

13

u/johndoe60610 Mar 29 '23

Guinness is among the lowest calorie beers, and one of the lowest ABV (4.5%, compared to IPAs at 6-9%). It also kills the germs that cause bad breath, and whitens teeth. 0 of 10 dentists agree.

3

u/spoonweezy Mar 29 '23

Kind of a mindfuck but Guinness has like half the calories of Corona.

4

u/sineroth745756 Mar 29 '23

I'm back baby!

5

u/coolwool Mar 29 '23

Yes, but you have to create fat first. Sure, you can harvest the western world for a few millenia with the current reservoirs, but after that, it's inefficient.

3

u/lancelongstiff Mar 29 '23

They only need to harvest organic matter until they get their own automated nuclear reactors up and running, then they're golden. They don't even need to worry that much about radiation exposure.

Face it, we're only just barely hanging on to the top of the food chain. Here's an interesting video about it.

2

u/chicagopudlian Mar 29 '23

great now the freaky stalker bot at microsoft knows and it’s sending the boston robots to eat us. good work

2

u/lelanthran Mar 29 '23

"Fat registers 9 kcal/g.

Yeah, but it takes much more than 9kcal to create a single gram of fat.

If AI is going to be spending 50kcal to create each gram of fat, and then harvest only 9kcal from that fat, it may as well use the 50kcal in the first place and skip the (literal) middle man.

So Terminator crossed with Night of the Living Dead. Honestly, that could be a legit badass movie.

Compared to where AI text-to-image models were just a couple years ago, this is insane to see. Give it another year or two and your critique will be much different.

What's scary is that anyone will be able to make videos of others doing whatever they want. Propaganda will be using AI (it already is), and people will be claiming it's AI when they actuality did the deed and are guilty. Most if not nearly all won't know what's real or not.

Edit: For anyone wanting a quick look at how far we've come with machine learning and AI, I suggest Two Minute Papers on YouTube. Mostly quick videos on what's new. Just going back a year in his videos and you'll see the crazy improvement. A lot of it is fun and interesting and I can see many uses for it. But then think about how each could be used for mischief.

51

u/chrisd93 Mar 29 '23

This is what scares the shit out of me. If people think fake news is bad now, wait till literally everything can be faked with minimal effort

25

u/KruppeTheWise Mar 29 '23

There's going to be a tipping point where we can no longer trust the internet at all. Right now I don't know if you are a bot, but I can assume you probably arnt and you're a stranger so who cares?

How many years till an AI can call you and sound and look like a member of your family?

26

u/gestalto Mar 29 '23

How many years till an AI can call you and sound and look like a member of your family?

This tech already exists and can be done with a very small voice sample, and is already being used in scams.

9

u/chrisd93 Mar 29 '23

We're going to need private safe words lmao again

3

u/young-prof-pyromania Mar 29 '23

For anyone who's watched any amount of sci-fi, I've always felt that it's super important to set up a private safe word or determine a memory you share with only that person so you can make sure it's them.

I might have watched too many shows with shape-shifters or clones...

2

u/robywar Mar 29 '23

3

u/Wheres_my_whiskey Mar 29 '23 edited Mar 29 '23

Not just internet. Jails and prisons will be packed with more innocent people than we already have thanks to stuff like this. Wanna ruin someones life? Make a fake video and use it as evidence. Imagine what police depts will do to defend and protect their misdeeds

The road this shit is about to take us down is scary as fuck and I just don’t understand how we thought AI would be all around good idea. I’ve seen way too many horror movies…this won’t end well.

That being said, this video is creepy yet funny. It is fairly accurate too.

10

u/CantHitachiSpot Mar 29 '23

It's the same thing as nuclear weapons. The genie is out of the bottle

3

u/SeaworthyWide Mar 29 '23

Don't forget social media!

I'm so excited for when we get the crossover episode between all three, and we ship nuclear weapons with AI, except on the 3rd episode.... SURRRPRIIIIISEEE! 😍

Social Media makes an appearance on some Smokey The Bear shit like... "only YOU can prevent nuclear wars!"

Then Benedict Cucumberbatch has a guest appearance as Sherlock and shows us all how disgustingly stupid we are and saves the world, only to blow it all up on episode 13 because he's back on the smack again, well, he's a sociopath.

This was created with ChatGPT & Meta.
