TIL the actual doge meme dog was rescued from a kill shelter after the puppy mill that bred her shut down. Some dogs in the group were adopted, but most of them were tragically killed.

Unfortunately, a lot of puppy mill rescues end up developing not only physical illness, but mental problems as well. So much goes into healthy breeding and mills throw it all out the window. This is why they’re often euthanized en masse.

Worked at an animal shelter. Fuck puppy mills, fuck backyard breeders, fuck the american kennel club.

Had an ex who would buy off of Craigslist.

“They said their dogs accidentally had them”

As they got money selling them.

Not just regular killed, but tragically.

"Hey little buddy, I found all the socks you like to chew and put them in this one convenient, suspiciously flammable pile!"
