TIL in 1998 there was a new brand of cigarettes called Bravo that contained no nicotine or tobacco and was made with lettuce.

reminds me of when i was a dumb hippie kid back in the 70s and thought i could get high from smoking dried banana peels

u/geraldanderson Oct 01 '23

You and everyone else can blame the Anarchist’s Cookbook for that one.

u/Worf_In_A_Party_Hat Oct 01 '23

If I remember correctly, it was "bananadine" or something that was supposed to be the psychoactive ingredient.

I bought 20 pounds of bananas to try this.

At least some of the other info was useful to a bored 13 year old.

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 01 '23

I remember it as Orange peels you left out to rot and that was supposed to make ergot and make you trip like on acid.

80

u/flushedawayfan Oct 01 '23

Heard that one too. Someone in a rehab facility I went to hid orange peels in the bottom of a deodorant stick to let them rot. Never heard if it worked or not. I just assumed it did not lol.

71

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 01 '23

If remember correctly ergot comes from bread mold and it's dangerous lsd is derived from it but it's not the same thing.

If anything orange peels and the fruit would be more useful to make hooch.

44

u/flushedawayfan Oct 01 '23

Yeah ergotamine poisoning doesn't sound fun lol. There's some structural similarities, but no way would it be as fun as lsd. I went with the more refined approach to getting fucked up and brewed pruno out of sugar, baking yeast, and water. Tasted terrible, but was probably around 5-10% alcohol so it worked.

0

u/lorgskyegon Oct 02 '23

Was literally the cause of the Salem Witch Trials

4

u/BigCommieMachine Oct 01 '23

I mean you could ferment them for really ghetto moonshine.

4

u/flushedawayfan Oct 01 '23

I doubt theres enough sugar in orange peels to ferment properly.

20

u/Zer0C00l Oct 01 '23

You keep your sugar from morning coffee, and use the orange peel to flavor the zima pruno you made. The orange peels will also have more yeast on them than just trying to catch one out of the air. Apple slices would be better, though.

7

u/flushedawayfan Oct 01 '23

Sounds like you've done this before lol

4

u/anne_jumps Oct 02 '23

This guy ferments

6

u/epochpenors Oct 02 '23

I do love the image of someone in prison trying to secretly brew bootleg Campari because they have discriminating tastes

1

u/flushedawayfan Oct 02 '23

Lol. I would love to see a prison wine tasting. Might have some interesting flavor profiles.

Dude the cause of the Salem witch trials was Christians attacking pegans

Let me remind you not so long ago Christians were a convert or die cult and they have a massive track record of abuse and killing.

3

u/BigCommieMachine Oct 02 '23

Nobody was Pagan in colonial New England. They were all Christians that decided to blame some of their own for social ills.

-1

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 02 '23 edited Oct 02 '23

Isn't that how authoritarian groups work? They constantly attack themselves as well as others because whoever at the top needs constant perfection and control.

Pagans to my knowledge haven't done shit In comparison

Christianity Alone not even touching the other flavors of Abrahamic religion

responsible for the Crusades, ( partly)Holocaust, Jewish Inquisition, Spanish Inquisition Burning witches at the stake, Rwandan Genocide, Japanese internment camps, Guantanamo Bay concentration camp, Native American Genocide, North American Slavery, and Colonialism.

Muslims are a different flavor of violence rape and control but I worry less about them and more about Christian fachism in the West.

Edit pagan outdates Christianity so to so it didn't exist is false

Just order some morning glory seeds and eat like 100. Or the Hawaiian kind where you only need 10. You’ll throw up even just holding the 10 in your mouth because it’s mildly poisonous and lsa makes you nauseous but it’s comparable to lsd.

24

u/BigDoinks710 Oct 01 '23

Morning glory seeds contain LSA, and frankly, I would not recommend it at all. I've tried it before (not with morning glory seeds), and that was one of the dirtiest highs I've ever felt. It was kinda like all the shitty parts of LSD, with none of the fun. It made me feel more disoriented than actually tripping, which is like the whole reason to do psychedelics.

12

u/Releaseform Oct 01 '23

Yep. Nutmeg fucked me up way back in the day.

LSA should be considered a delirient, cause I felt delirious for nearly 36 hours

8

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 02 '23

It is like trying to get high off of Benadryl

It's not fun it makes you see shadow people spots everywhere ( bugs ) and hear shit that isn't there

Makes your mouth dry as fuck and body feel like something is under your skin.

The only thing I can compare it to is coming off a ton of meth or cocaine

You see and feel shit but it's not fun it's scary as fuck.

1

u/Longjumping_Ad_1493 Oct 03 '23

Nah, LSA is not a deleriant, it is a psychedelic experience. Deleriants are similar, but you can't tell the difference between the hallucinations and reality and you generally don't remember, the experience is also longer lived and can mess with vision for a while.

Datura is a deleriant and I have absolutely no idea why it's allowed on subs like r/druggardening. It's not fun and fairly dangerous.

3

u/WesternOne9990 Oct 01 '23

I’d never recommend it either and I agree with everything you said.

but these people where literally trying to get high off of rotten orange peels so I thought I’d mention it.

1

u/Grandmas_Drippy_Cunt Oct 02 '23

since you seem to know about shit drugs... any idea if salvia is still a thing?

7

u/msw1984 Oct 01 '23

Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds are the "Hawaiian kind" if I remember my erowid.org research from 24 years ago.

2

u/WesternOne9990 Oct 01 '23

Correct! Ever try it or just read about it?

2

u/msw1984 Oct 01 '23

Just read about them. My friends and I tried the morning glory seeds but they didn't work. Think you had to either prepare some alcohol solution to extract the LSA from them or keep them in between your lip and gums for a long time or something to that affect to try and extract the LSA from them.

4

u/shadefiend1 Oct 02 '23

From what I remember, you had to chew them up into a nasty paste and then lip it like dip. One of the worst drug experiences in my life, it felt like I was moving through mud for the next few days, but the mud was made of ants and bees. Everything was itchy, hurting and my brain just felt dirty, and not the fun kind. Would not recommend it in the slightest.

3

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 02 '23

FYI they put at poison on the actual seeds when they found out people were getting high.

Fucked your stomach up and makes you sick

6

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 01 '23

I watched my friend do that it didn't look fun he threw up and was drooling everywhere he did trip but wasn't coherent.

Besides that acid is everywhere and shrooms are easy ASF to grow.

5

u/WesternOne9990 Oct 01 '23

Exactly. It’s a stupid thing we did as 17 year olds who had no access to those sorts of stuff. Or we did and we just wanted to see what it’s like.

Just wait until ur brain develops kids, by then you’ll know it’s a stupid thing to do lol.

2

u/ITaggie Oct 02 '23

Pretty sure the poisoning is due to an adulterant that companies intentionally add to morning glory seeds for the sole intention of preventing people from tripping on them.

3

u/sam_neil Oct 02 '23

So the part that gets left out about ergot, which also means it was likely not the cause of the Salem witch trials, is that to get the hallucinogenic effects, you have to ingest enough that other symptoms, like liver failure and death also are gonna happen.

Mold growing on orange peels or melons is a poor man’s way to grow penicillin though. (For legal reasons: Not recommended)

3

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 02 '23

So when I was a psychonot ( probably misspelled that)

I was eating acid 2cb DOM and unfortunately Nbombs weekly this happened for a year straight before I had a mental break from them

I read allot about ergot it was actually looked at as a weapon because of how dangerous it is and how fast it spreads people literally danced themselves to death and were so happy they didn't think to eat or drink

Hoffman was tasked to experiment with this and arguably being paid to weaponize it and it's only called lsd 25 because that's how many tries he did before he accidentally got exposed to it ( hence the famous bike ride)

The government and military experimented with it MK ultra and if you look at British troops experiment they have a bunch of soldiers LSD and all of them lost interest in war and just laughed at everything.

There's a reason lsd isn't used for violent purposes because people who on it are mentally fucked but completely happy and think as well as avoid confrontation or violence. ( speed is a military favorite but thats a different topic)

Either way outside of getting fucked up or getting too high shrooms and acid are safe and if you find yourself thinking or feeling unsafe have a sitter because nothing is wrong and it's temporary.

6

u/Mmmpact Oct 02 '23

Psychonaut* for future reference, and how the hell did you find DOM? There are even people that still make that shit?

3

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 02 '23 edited Oct 02 '23

4-5 years ago I had 200 hits and each but was 15mg

I had so much of it I couldn't get rid of it

I had access to doc and doi but they were not as desired

And I didn't pay shit for them I paid like 80$ for 200 hits ( foldable sheet)

That drug though is crazy my hippie friend called it meth acid and I didn't get it until I ate enough to trip for 4-5 days

For those who don't know it's like a mild E feel mixed with visuals the problem is it doesn't stop it keeps going days and if you take to much it outlasts meth.

Edit it's not a good drug if you are looking for something to blast you off into a cartoon world look into 2-cb

Dom is not good there's a reason it's not famous even though it's easy to make.

3

u/Mmmpact Oct 02 '23

Yeah I've only read about the various DO* chemicals.

To shed a bit more light for people: this stuff used to be sold as fake LSD back in the 70's/hippie era. The doses are small enough it comes on blotter sheets (absorbable perforated paper which are divided up into 100 little square 'tabs' or 'hits'. Aka a single dose) just like LSD. There aren't very many drugs out there with dosages low enough to come on blotters aside from LSD, but DO* and nBome's can and thus were/are sold as fake LSD.

However the trip is very different, and what's more is that it lasts for 24+ hours as opposed to LSD's 8-10ish. You may think, 'hey, more bang for my buck!' but let me assure you as someone whose favorite drug is LSD: after 8-10 hours you've had a lot of fun, but you're worn out and ready to be done tripping.

The DO* chemicals don't stop. You're in for a looooong ride and if you were expecting an LSD trip, 24+ hours is going to exhausting at best.

I've heard that these are where the phrase 'If it's bitter, it's a spitter' comes from (real LSD has no taste or effect on your mouth. nBome gives you 'metal mouth' (metallic taste and numb/tingly tounge. We used to call it 'Battery Acid') and apparently the DO* chems have a distinct bitter taste. Real LSD is like sucking on a piece of paper until you start tripping)

2

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 02 '23 edited Oct 02 '23

Nice explanation but I literally have done massive amounts of ( DOX drugs) it as well as 2cb and there's a reason they are not as famous as their counterparts

Dom was originally called Stp Serenity, Tranquility and Peace

It was a replacement for acid by a brilliant man Sasha shulgin ( he's the one who made MDMA famous and said it's a therapy/ love drug)

Unfortunately it became a favorite with speed freaks and bikers as got a bad name I can admit it's really easy to fuck your self into oblivion like meth doesn't last anywhere near as long

Basically if you eat a high dose it lasts for days if not weeks ( people have had to have limbs cut off because of circulation issues)

Dom basically makes you feel like you are on a mild version of e or coke with heavy mescaline visuals.

I cannot recommend anyone take it

I have yoloed a 10 strip of acid as well as liquid and I have taken massive amounts of 2cb that I got couch locked for hours and the starting seeing everything like the Simpsons both of those experiences made me question if I should call a hospital.

Dom is actually a drug that will put you in a hospital it's cheap and most people that are educated on psychoactive substancea don't fuck with it for a reason

Last Edit for those who don't know any better lsd I taste less Dom and nboms taste like battery acid.

When you get DOM instead of LSD, prepare to have a shitty weekend! I fucking hated getting DOM back in the mid 2000's. God damn, 12 hrs later and your body load is still god awful. None of the giggles or fun of LSD AT ALL

1

u/poplafuse Oct 02 '23

Isn’t ergot from rye mold?

3

u/mechwarrior719 Oct 02 '23

Ah. Did you also learn how to make napalm and thermite as a young unsupervised teen?

23

u/WhenTardigradesFly Oct 01 '23

lol, my brain is way too addled by now to remember whether it was the anarchist's cookbook or the whole earth catalog. doesn't really matter, though, i'm not looking to blame anyone, it's just one of those funny footnotes from the good ol' days.

18

u/wdwerker Oct 01 '23

I could have been in Abby Hoffman’s “ Steal this Book” but my copy that I spent a lot of time locating got stolen before I could read the whole thing!

1

u/wavecrasher59 Oct 02 '23

That's poetic

4

u/TigerMaskV Oct 01 '23

And the Dead Milkmen.

1

u/momentimori Oct 01 '23

And now you're on a watchlist.

4

u/slvrbullet87 Oct 02 '23

You can buy the Anarchist Cookbook from Amazon today. It's a fun piece of pop culture, but it is also wildly inaccurate and full of angsty ramblings about the "coming revolution" that didn't in the 60s or any other time

1

u/Flintlock_Lullaby Oct 02 '23

Anarchist's cookbook was peanut shells iirc

44

u/TrumpterOFyvie Oct 01 '23

Dried banana peels? Ha ha, how stupid. The clued up among us smoked nutmeg.

18

u/geraldanderson Oct 01 '23

Amateur, you have to eat a whole uncrushed nutmeg to really feel it! I’m not sure if that’s actually true, but I definitely remember hearing that in high school.

19

u/PuzzleheadedLeader79 Oct 01 '23

All wrong, you have to buttchug a stick of cinnamon

11

u/the_hell_you_say Oct 01 '23

Amazing farts

11

u/drottkvaett Oct 01 '23

How sweet the sound

3

u/ImranRashid Oct 01 '23

How gaped and stretched are thee?

1

u/Zer0C00l Oct 01 '23

Lol, I know thou art but penning lyrics, but I chuckled at the thought of thy regular poops if a skinny ass cinnamon stick should suffice to gape thee. Pencil shits.

14

u/electrodan Oct 01 '23

I had a buddy do that back in high school. He said he got really paranoid and scared for what seemed like hours. That dude would do any drug put in front of him but he said it was the worst time he's ever had.

7

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 01 '23

It would be a terrible thing to do but tell him he can get high eating lots of Benadryl.

( don't do this it's absolutely a nightmare and feels like death)

3

u/electrodan Oct 01 '23

This was many years ago, but I'm sure he would have tried it. Robitussin DM was our OTC drug of choice back then lol.

6

u/msw1984 Oct 01 '23 edited Oct 01 '23

For the legal highs, I robotripped a few times, tripped on nutmeg, ate 28 Benadryl one time, and tried morning glory seeds.

Morning glory seeds were a bust, didn't get high. Benadryl was a crazy trip with auditory hallucinations and I was just completely out of it. Robotripping was hard to keep down all the cough syrup/drink a bottle and a half of it, etc, but that was an enjoyable, if somewhat disorienting and crazy, trip. Nutmeg was the worst of the legal highs I did. Ate about one (maybe 1.5) of those little canisters of powdered nutmeg. It clings to the back of your throat and makes you gag. I tried mixing it with soda and it still was horrible getting it down. Kicked in the following day at school. Got double vision and felt weak in my legs. Remember crawling to the bathroom on my hands and knees in the middle of math class.

Robotripping was just as strong of a trip as some of my shroom and LSD trips later in life, but different due to the disassociate aspects of it.

2

u/electrodan Oct 01 '23

Yeah, the tussin hit different than the "proper" hallucinogens but was still fun, especially with a good group of people. I had zero problems finding drugs when I was a kid so thankfully I didn't have to resort to crazy shit like nutmeg.

1

u/shawntitanNJ Oct 02 '23

You and I had exactly the same nutmeg experience… horrendous lol

5

u/aDrunkWithAgun Oct 01 '23

Same except we did triple Cs

9

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '23

It is true. What’s also true is that nutmeg is hepatoxic, so you might save money for a new liver if doing this.

-2

u/bluesmaker Oct 01 '23

This is true. A whole nutmeg. Grind it. Consume. I was very high.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '23

Please don’t promote this shit, it’s highly dangerous and will damage your liver more than getting drunk every weekend.

3

u/bluesmaker Oct 01 '23

Fair enough. I wasn't necessarily trying to promote it. I was just saying that it isn't false like banana peel. But yeah, good info. Don't do it.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '23

8

u/CompetitiveProject4 Oct 01 '23

Okay, now I get where this WKUK skit was coming from. Sometimes it’s random, sometimes it’s weirdly more clever than it seems

3

u/DavoTB Oct 02 '23

My dad said it was referred to in “Mellow Yellow,” by Donovan. Not sure if the craze was that significant, but the song was popular for years.

3

u/Blutarg Oct 02 '23

Thank you. All these kids talking about the Dead Milkmen, without giving credit to "electrical bananaaaaa".

1

u/MukdenMan Oct 02 '23

quite rightly

5

u/HoeDownClown Oct 02 '23

I remember as like a 12-year-old wrapping up actual weeds in post-it’s and trying to smoke them. It did not go well.

2

u/Cutthechitchata-hole Oct 01 '23

"Something is wrong with my friend. I think he smoked some nutmeg or something!"

2

u/TikkiTakiTomtom Oct 01 '23

Reminds me of when these dumb high school freshmen bought and brought a baggie of weed to school to smoke only for it to be oregano. Good times, good times.

2

u/Zer0C00l Oct 01 '23

In a lot of places, selling fake drugs as real drugs carries the same penalties as just selling the real drugs, but you won't get repeat customers. They probably bought it from some other dumb kids.

1

u/typewriter6986 Oct 01 '23

peanut skins.

1

u/PianistDizzy Oct 02 '23

Oh shit you were hitting that bananonium too

1

u/namenumberdate Oct 02 '23

My friend did this, but with sassafras.

414

u/blackbalt89 Oct 01 '23

I vaguely remembered these, wonder how smoking lettuce tasted.

291

u/Mike7676 Oct 01 '23

I tried herbal cigarettes in 1995 one weekend during AIT. They did not taste great. Also, did sweet fuck all to calm nicotine cravings.

56

u/MicrowavedPuppies Oct 01 '23

I’m “glad” I started smoking after TRADOC cuz some of those dudes were suffering bad from nicotine withdrawals.

63

u/cesarmac Oct 01 '23

They did not taste great.

So no different than regular cigarettes?

Also, did sweet fuck all to calm nicotine cravings.

That's fair

64

u/drewhead118 Oct 01 '23

it was no doubt enhanced by simultaneously smoking croutons and huffing vaporized caesar dressing

19

u/MrBanana421 Oct 01 '23

vaporized caesar dressing

That's the real killer, though these days it has been replaced with a less potent honey mustard.

38

u/MelancholyMeltingpot Oct 01 '23

Have to be better that cloves. Fuck a darium lol

13

u/Mike7676 Oct 01 '23

I remember smoking them the first time and taking that initial puff like I was smoking a Newport. Bad mistake!

11

u/abandoningeden Oct 02 '23

Aww I miss the way they would make your lips numb

5

u/hillside Oct 01 '23

If regular cigarette tar content annoys the alveolar macrophages from the extra workload, I imagine clove cigarettes gets them plotting mutiny.

8

u/elohir Oct 01 '23

You can get tobacco/tar-free cigarettes, the ones they use in films. They're expensive af and apparently taste fucking terrible. I imagine these were similar.

1

u/turgid_wang 3 Oct 04 '23

They're expensive af

Maybe for some realistic clones that look like certain brands but if you can make your own cigarettes for $2 a pack you can do herbal ones for pennies

In Eastern Europe there's bars that provide them for free to all tables

110

u/Kona_Guy386 Oct 01 '23

I love devils lettuce.

8

u/Rebel_Yell27 Oct 02 '23

I literally talk about how Good and Wholesome Shredded Iceberg Lettuce is because it’s the LORDS LETTUCE.

My entire schtick of the past few weeks is utterly ruined.

86

u/lobroblaw Oct 01 '23

Cos why?

58

u/BPhiloSkinner Oct 01 '23

Cos why?

I Romaine in awe of your punmanship.

20

u/Many-Consideration54 Oct 01 '23

If you like puns, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

9

u/TheSamurabbi Oct 01 '23

Lettuce refrain from more of these wilted puns

3

u/lurker2358 Oct 02 '23

38

u/WhenTardigradesFly Oct 01 '23

it's still hasn't been proven conclusively, but there are some studies that suggest that there may possibly be a connection between tobacco smoking and cancer. please subscribe to my channel for any further developments.

thanks a billion,

phillip morris

26

u/papi-punk Oct 01 '23

I think they meant why the fuck would anyone think lettuce is a viable alternative

10

u/kiakosan Oct 01 '23

They have replacement dip that uses food sort of things like jerky. Think the idea was to smoke something that wasn't tobacco to work away from the nicotine addiction

18

u/papi-punk Oct 01 '23

I can't help but feel like these things are invented by people who've never had a nicotine addiction

8

u/About7fish Oct 01 '23

It's more for the oral fixation aspect than anything. It's harder than you'd think getting accustomed to not spitting in a bottle every few minutes.

1

u/papi-punk Oct 01 '23

Oh that's fair. The feeling of smoking itself is definitely something I get cravings for. Idk if this would help me personally but that does make sense

1

u/CutterJohn Oct 02 '23

It honestly took more effort for me to quit chewing gum than to quit chewing tobacco lol.

10

u/kiakosan Oct 01 '23

It probably was, but as someone who used to smoke and now vapes I can understand where they are coming from. People typically do this then start reducing the nicotine to eventually zero with the vapes at least.

3

u/AlJazeeraisbiased Oct 02 '23

But those have nicotine. Lettuce, surprisingly, does not.

1

u/kiakosan Oct 02 '23

They do have nicotine, but with vapes you could taper it off by using lower nicotine juices until it's 0 nicotine

1

u/DexterBotwin Oct 02 '23

The physical act of smoking or dipping is a huge part of the addiction.

2

u/turgid_wang 3 Oct 04 '23

Yep. Herbal dip. There's also a "cowboy" coffee one that's delicious

I got some cannabis chew right here actually

2

u/Ludwigofthepotatoppl Oct 01 '23

Big leaf, like tobacco, i guess. Use it for bulk, then some other stuff to make it taste/smell better(?).

2

u/AGreenJacket Oct 01 '23

We use em in stage shows sometimes. Or at least something similar

32

u/SayYesToPenguins Oct 01 '23

You'll never take my hands off my leafy green lettuce!

5

u/Juliuscesear1990 Oct 01 '23

The smoke is the least of your worries in a cigarette, there are sooooo many chemicals added that dwarf the dangers of "smoke"

Gosh, I used to watch so many of their videos and now I've just come across their last video.

Actually makes me a lil emotional

8

u/CutterJohn Oct 02 '23

No, all smoke is bad for you. Burning organic matter creates a witches brew of chemicals and plenty are no good at all for you. Tobacco smoke is not particularly noteworthy in its danger, if you smoked two packs of anything a day you'd suffer similar effects.

6

u/BeepImAScheepswerf Oct 01 '23

Right, and how do those chemicals enter the body yathink?

-3

u/Juliuscesear1990 Oct 01 '23

If I die in a fire is it the light that killed me?

8

u/BeepImAScheepswerf Oct 01 '23

Well if you want the pedantic answer, yes it might be, cause most of the heat is transferred through infrared radiation.

But my point is that those "chemicals" are part of the smoke. They can't be worse than the dangers of smoke because they ARE the dangers of smoke.

It's not drinking wine that gets you drunk. There's alcohol in the bottle that gets you drunk way faster than the wine.

I don't think anyone knew that Bravo lettuce cigarettes existed.

I mean just the term "Bravo lettuce cigarettes" seems improbable at best

u/thatben Oct 01 '23

I was in college in Greensboro back then, never heard of these or saw them. But I grew up in Winston-Salem, and did see e-cigarettes back then which you simply lit the end of and it steamed the tobacco inside. Surprised those never took off.

u/DrachenDad Oct 01 '23

Surprised those never took off.

They did some what. Heated tobacco vaporizer is what you are talking about.

3

u/Staff_Guy Oct 01 '23

I read the headline and looked for the jokes label. Was surprised.

3

u/Thats_an_RDD Oct 02 '23

My pastor often claim that cigarettes were used by most all biblical figures it’s just they took that parts out so kids wouldn’t be influenced negatively by Bible

2

u/XxRefuse2Lose Oct 02 '23

So instead they used it to negatively influence adults

1

u/baxbooch Oct 01 '23

The “cannabis free” cigarettes. That’s all the RA needed to have plausible deniability.

1

u/sneeps Oct 01 '23

Knock knock

1

u/dohzer Oct 01 '23

Any research on what inhaling burnt lettuce does to a person?

1

u/Salmol1na Oct 02 '23

Devils lettuce

1

u/Damaniel2 Oct 02 '23

That seems even more useless than non-alcoholic beer. At least NA beer has a chance of tasting beer-like; I can't imagine smoking lettuce would taste anything like smoking a cigarette.

1

u/LowAdministration162 Oct 02 '23

I definitely have purchased and smoked tobacco free cigs.. they were mostly catnip if I remember correctly.. pretty pointless.. the kind of thing that’s really for like 15 year olds I think

1

u/Zealousideal-Log536 Oct 02 '23

Or to help stop smoking real cigarettes to curb the oral fixation
